Mutsu Hassen Ginjo PINK

Brewed with local yeast and rice as well as white koji, which gives it slight sourness of citric acid, the pink label is a playful and enjoyable Ginjo sake. Fruity aroma with notes of melon and banana. Mellow flavors reminiscent of cotton candy or bubble gum fade into a light dryness.

Tasting notes

Its aromatic quality, reminiscent of melon and banana, is matched by its mellow flavor. The crisp cut on the back end allows the lingering fruitiness to spread slowly in the mouth. Its light dryness and pleasant sharpness should be matched not only with Japanese food but also with western food like Cream pasta, tomato and mozzarella cheese salad, plain donuts, and other sweet treats

Hachinohe Shuzo’s history dates back to 1740 when the first generation Komai Shozaburo left Omi Province in Shiga Prefecture for the land of Mutsu (Tohoku) to find the best location to produce sake. Today, Hachinohe Shuzo is one of the most progressive and creative sake breweries, emphasizing environmentally-friendly, locally-sourced ingredients, from Aomori-grown rice, yeast and clear spring water from the Kanisawa area. They are the pride of Aomori Prefecture.
