The land where gods reside...
The Kumano area is located in the southern part of the Kii Peninsula in Japan. It is a place of high mountains, dense ancient forests, and criss-crossing river beaches. In addition, the Kii Peninsula has the highest rainfall in Japan, and has a beautiful natural environment and abundant products. Kumano Kodo was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. The natural environment in the deep mountains of Kumano has been the retreat of the creator since ancient times, and Kishu Kumano Distillery was born here.
The three-legged and eight-footed bird in the trademark is a "divine messenger" worshiped by people. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the company, in addition to the production of plum juice, plum wine, and Kishu plum wine, in 2019, as we look forward to the 100th anniversary, the "Kumano Distillery" will be officially opened, and gin will be launched globally with whiskey

How it tastes.
Three pairings.
Lamb chops, charred
The thyme picks up grilled rosemary; the brightness cuts the fat.
Mezze table
Hummus, muhammara, kibbeh — high notes for a low‑slung table.
Mushroom risotto
A vegetarian match. The wine’s salinity reads as savoury.
